Provider or DEDDIE?

Your electricity provider (DEI, Protergia, etc.) handles billing and your account. DEDDIE (Distribution Network Operator) is responsible for the distribution network. If the damage was caused by a network problem (e.g. surge, pole collapse), the compensation claim is directed to DEDDIE. If it concerns a billing error or disconnection due to debt, contact your provider.

Immediate steps after the damage

  • Photograph all damaged devices immediately.
  • Do not discard any device before an inspection or technical report.
  • Request a technical report from a licensed electrician.
  • Keep all purchase, repair and replacement receipts.
